"GLARE" is a 7-minute short film that follows a woman struggling to reach her phone while driving through a violent storm. Loosely inspired by true events, it depicts the terror of a road trip gone wrong.
The film was written, storyboarded, directed, animated, and edited by Ian Gaadt and includes music from Brenda Lee's "Emotions," along with a violin score performed by Ian and composed by Luigi Bonocchi and Crabgraph. The film was animated on Procreate Dreams throughout 2024 and 2025, with editing and compositing in Premiere Pro.
"GLARE" was created with guidance from RISD professors: Hannah Subotnick, Christy Karacas, Eric Telfort, and Ramon Rivera-Moret.
